High Park Ball Hockey Registration Information!

All House League Divisions will run from late April to the end of June.  Games will be played on Saturday mornings and afternoons with a few games scheduled for rain days on Sunday Mornings and afternoons aswell. All division games are played on the outdoor rink inside High Park (just inside the main entrance at Bloor and High Park and right next to the Swimming Pool).

The following chart provides a general break down of game times for different divisions. This can change depending on the amount of teams per division. For the exact times, please go to Leagues Schedules.

Fees Include:

  • Uniform jersey, socks and shorts are included with registration.
  • 10 games (includes regular season and playoff games)
  • Full Player and Team statistics
  • One game a week, no practices
  • CBHA Certified Referees
  • Championship Day (BBQ, Awards)
  • Registration will be online. We will be accepting only etransfer payments.
  • All players must be registered with complete payment before their first game.   

* Once a division fills up, a limited waiting list will be put into place. In order to have a confirmed position on the waiting list the participant must be registered using our online registration system (no registration fee is charged for placement on the waiting list).


Equipment

For Players:

  • Helmets: Hockey helmet with full facial protection (cage)​​​​​​​
    Note: both facemask and helmet must have CSA stickers
  • ​​​​​​​Gloves: Ice hockey gloves or certified ball hockey gloves
    Note: any type of gloves not designed for hockey use (e.g., lacrosse) are not permitted.
  • Hockey sticks: 
    Note: both wood or composite are accepted. Push-on plastic blades are not permitted. 
  • ​​​​​​​Running Shoes
    Note: Shoes must be closed toe, and allow free range of motion (e.g. boots not permitted). 
  • ​​​​​​​Shin Guards: Soccer style shin guards are mandatory. ​​​​​​​
    Note: It is mandatory for shin guards to be completely covered by socks.
    Note: Ice hockey shin guards are not permitted.


​​For Goaltenders

  • Goaltenders can either wear player helmet/facemask (as above) or a goalie mask
    Note: goalie mask must have CSA sticker. 
    *** Street hockey goalie masks ARE NOT PERMITTED ***

ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT

    •    Mouth guard

    •    Athletic support (jock or jill)

    •    Knee pads (soft)

    •    Soft elbow pads

Note: Hard ice hockey elbow pads are not permitted. Elbow pads must be covered by jersey

THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT IS PROHIBITED:

• Shoulder pads

• Hockey-style hard elbow pads

• Hockey-style shin guards


Weather Policy

  • In the Event of a Rain/Thunder or Lightning we will try and accommodate Games on Sunday Mornings.
  • To protect all players, coaches, officials, and spectators, the following criteria will be applied for inclement weather or poor rink conditions in assessing if a game is delayed, cancelled and/or rescheduled
  • If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, a notice will be sent out at least 1 hour prior to scheduled game time by email to all teams affected along with post on Facebook. Instagram and our Teamlinkt App
  • Games will be re-scheduled which could be as early as the next day being Sunday.
  • This will be the only communication that coaches/parents receive, and it is the parent's responsibility to check the website accordingly.

TEAM EQUALIZATION

Once teams have been selected some players maybe traded in an attempt to equalize team strength.Team equalization will be left up to the discretion of Division Convenors and Head Coaches.


Standard refund policy 

  • Full Refund before Start of Season
  • Refunds will only be considered if request is received in writing. Please send your request to us via email (info@highparkballhockey.ca)
  • Note - After registration, up to and including two weeks into the season — refund available minus $30 non-refundable administration fee.
  • No refund - After the second week of the season — except in hardship cases (injuries, etc.) and refund will be prorated to games played and including minus $30 Jersey fee.

DO THE PLAYERS HAVE PRACTICES?

- Our main program does not have practices, however children selected for the Granadiers Representative Team will have practices as scheduled by their coaches.

DO YOU HAVE PROGRAMS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS?

The HPBHL is a co-ed league where boys and girls play together. If there are enough registrations in 2026, the HPBHL could offer a Girls Only division.

The players will usually play one game per week

Team Announcements

Coaches will be selected before the start of the season. All players will be contacted by email informing them what team they will be on prior to the start of the season.

All-Stars

For players who are interested in a more competitive environment, we offer an all-star program, involving try-outs and additional practices, with the all-star teams playing in tournaments (as available), exhibition games and the provincial minor ball hockey championships in July. Extra fees are applicable for the all-star program.
